Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak hunting Amatsu with a long sword. Although, I do not see much point for hunting solo against Amatsu, Amatsu armors and weapons are very special, specially for heaven-sent skill as well as silkbind attack boost.
Sakura Slash & Sacred Sheath combo works just fine. Aiming for the head is really important against Amatsu. Sacred Sheath has a nice armor protection, so that there is no need to wait for frost craft. It really is important to launch sacred sheath than getting hit by monster.
Amatsu is weak against fire or dragon, so that using any weapon or bullet that have fire or dragon elements may help. If Amatsu gets you, you need to remember dangerous movesets.
